Risata Bali Resort & Spa Newsletter | February 2026

February in Bali is a month full of romance and heartfelt celebrations. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway with your partner or quality time with the family, there’s something special about this time of year.

While February falls within Bali’s wet season, don’t let the occasional shower deter you! These brief downpours often pass quickly so you can still enjoy your evening beach strolls and outdoor activities. Crowds tend to be lighter compared to the peak holiday months of December and January, which means more space to explore tourist-y places without the hustle and bustle.

At Risata Bali Resort & Spa, we’ve thoughtfully crafted experiences to help you savor every moment this February — from intimate couple spa treatments and romantic dinners to thoughtful activities that the family will love.

Intersection of cultures

As February arrives, Bali prepares to welcome the Year of the Horse, marking the celebration of Chinese New Year on 17 February. Chinese New Year in Bali offers a glimpse into the island’s rich multicultural identity, where Chinese traditions blend harmoniously with Balinese culture. During this festive period, streets are adorned with red lanterns, while lion dances, temple ceremonies and fireworks bring the island alive and full of excitement. Celebrations are especially vibrant in areas such as Denpasar and Singaraja, home to some of Bali’s largest Chinese-Indonesian communities

For guests staying in Risata Bali Resort & Spa at Kuta, a short 15-minute drive from our resort brings you to Vihara Satya Dharma at Benoa Port, the largest modern Chinese temple in Bali. Practicing the teachings of Tridharma, this temple serves as a place of prayer for the three teachings of Chinese folk religion — Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. During this time, the entire complex is beautifully decorated with traditional Chinese New Year ornaments from paper lanterns to candles while the scent of incense fills the air. It’s a meaningful and accessible cultural experience for travelers exploring Bali in February.
